Our Farmers

At Religious Roast Coffee, our story is intertwined with the subtleties of Nicaraguan coffee. Although our origins are diverse, we've forged a special connection with Nicaragua, a small country nestled in the heart of the Americas. More specifically, our ties lead to a small community named El Carmen, where we've collaborated in establishing the "Mi Buen Pastor" cooperative.

Each year, we source a substantial quantity of coffee from this region. We pay an additional $0.80 for each pound of coffee we acquire. This extra sum provides significant support to the farmers, enabling them to navigate the challenging coffee industry.

Cultivating coffee often necessitates substantial investments while yielding few rewards. What's more, farmers contend with a formidable adversary: usury. At Religious Roast Coffee, we extend an invitation to you. Through a cup of our coffee, you can witness the diligent hands that have nurtured the coffee plants for three long years to produce a simple bag of coffee.

We take great pride in being part of this narrative where faith and the love for coffee converge. Every cup of our Nicaraguan coffee you savor not only tantalizes your senses but also extends support to local communities and promotes equitable trade practices.

We invite you to join us on this voyage of flavors and solidarity. Your choice of coffee carries a meaningful impact, and with each sip, you can taste the dedication we share with the producers and farmers in Nicaragua.
